    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our development team at Govchain. Your technical expertise will be utilized to resolve real customer challenges on a product used by thousands of South African entrepreneurs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Write back-end code and present it as a well-structured API for our frontend team.
    • Craft high-quality, well-tested, and efficient code in Python.
    • Solve complex problems methodically and promptly address bugs.
    • Maintain the end user's needs as the primary focus in all decision-making processes.
    • Write tests before coding.
    • Automate tasks whenever possible.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of practical coding experience.
    • At least 1 year of experience with Python.
    • Experience with Django is highly valued.
    • Selenium expertise is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with unit testing.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to estimate and meet project deadlines.
    • Possess ability to work remotely with periodic in-person meetings.
