    Franchise Accountant (Real Estate and Franchise)

    Our client in the Real Estate and Franchise industry is seeking a skilled Franchise Accountant to provide critical financial support.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Providing backup support to the debtor's function, ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data;
    • Discussing and resolving problems promptly to achieve satisfactory outcomes;
    • Reviewing franchise Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets for errors or concerns;
    • Updating monthly Management Reports from the ClickView database;
    • Assisting with report automation and developing benchmark reports;
    • Preparing finance sections of Business Reviews and providing relevant information to stakeholders;
    • Preparing rent sets and business valuations as required;
    • Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance through analysis and benchmarking;
    • Assisting with Annual Audit preparation and budgeting processes;

    Investment Manager and Fixed Assets

    The selected candidate will also be responsible for:

    • Creating annual investment programs and loading signed budgets;
    • Maintaining investment manager and suspense accounts;
    • Providing support to project managers and preparing fixed asset register reconciliations;

    New Operators

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Assisting new operators with financial information requests and conducting Financial Orientations;
    • Supporting both new operators and their accountants;

    Existing Operators

    The Franchise Accountant will also be responsible for:

    • Preparing Annual Business Review financial packages and Expansion Review packages;

    Requirements

    To succeed in this role, applicants should have:

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance role;
    • A BComm Accounting degree or studying towards it part-time (in 2nd/3rd year);
    • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with Word;
    • SAP experience preferred but not essential;
    • Good Microsoft Office skills.
