Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SolidWorks designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in SolidWorks, as well as expertise in design process, drafting standards, and manufacturing processes.

About the Role:

Liaise with engineers and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
Create detailed designs, including Manufacturing Drawings, QC drawings, General Assembly Drawings, Exploded View and Sectional Assembly Drawings.
Maintain adherence to engineering and draughting best practices.
Comply with Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and controls.
Ensure accuracy in filing structure and part numbering system.
Develop part numbers and manage Bills of Materials on our ERP system.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years relevant SolidWorks experience (Intermediate level)
Minimum 2 years' experience working with large EPCs, Project Management and Engineering Consulting Houses
Minimum 1-year mineral processing site experience
Knowledge of design process (PLM or PDM) and creating bill of materials
Good knowledge of draughting standards and manufacturing processes and an advanced understanding of: Limits and fits, Geometric tolerancing, Welding standards and symbols, Sheet metal cutting (Laser, Flame, Plasma), Sheet metal bending
Knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro preferably)
High level of self-awareness
High level of neatness, very orderly and can work with minimal supervision and still achieve KPI's as required
