- Coordinate with fellow hostesses to manage reservations, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all guests.
- Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas, providing them with menus and announcing their waiter/waitress name.
- Develop and implement floor plans for both lunch and dinner services, taking into account guest preferences and restaurant operations.
- Collaborate with senior chefs to stay informed about menu changes and updates.
- Transition between lunch and dinner services seamlessly, adjusting menus and table arrangements accordingly.
- Prepare detailed handover sheets for each shift, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated to colleagues.
- Greet guests upon their departure, thanking them for their visit and encouraging repeat business.
- Maintain a clean and organized hostess desk, handling incoming calls and addressing guest queries in a professional manner.
- Stay informed about the estate and local area, providing guests with recommendations and insights as needed.
- Communicate VIP visits to managers and waiters promptly, ensuring that these special guests receive the highest level of attention.
- Familiarize yourself with reservation policies, including booking times and procedures.
- Grade 12 education, with a hospitality certificate being a plus.
- 1-2 years of previous hostess experience, preferably in a high-end establishment.
