    About Discovery Health Systems (DHS) – Configuration Management Team

    The Comprehensive Configuration management team within DHS provides services to the Discovery Group of Companies, empowering them to achieve systems development targets throughout their DevOps lifecycle. This is done by managing their DevOps pipeline and Configuration Management Database along with event management and monitoring tools.

    Key Responsibilities

    • DevOps Ecosystem Maintenance: Maintain and support the DevOps Ecosystem which includes tools that provide visibility and traceability of the Application Lifecycle.
    • Pipeline Configuration and Troubleshooting: Manage capabilities mainly used by Java based applications and troubleshoot problems within the DevOps pipeline.
    • Orchestration Platform Design: Design, implement, and maintain the orchestration platform (Ansible or CFengine, Docker and Kubernetes) to orchestrate Infrastructure and Application Provisioning and scaling.
    • Automation and Efficiency Improvement: Eliminate wastage from manual procedures by improving efficiency through automation.

    Areas of Focus

    • Ongoing Pipeline Maintenance: Maintain the Pipeline Configuration, integration, and deployment tools as well as its underlying infrastructure.
    • User Support and Collaboration: Provide support or collaborate with development teams specifically around customized requirements. Provide ongoing support on Continuous integration, Continuous Delivery related issues/queries.
    • Design and Development: Designing and Developing the DevOps pipeline and software stack as well as develop the scripts required for automation (Python, YML, Java).
    • DevOps Knowledge Base and User Manuals: Responsible for maintaining and adding to the DevOps Knowledge base containing guidelines, best practices, and operational policies primarily for Developers, Architects and Business Analysts.
    • Adoption and Uniformity of DevOps: Drive adoption of CI, CD automation, infrastructure as code, cloud-based technologies.

    Requirements

    • Tech Stack:** Atlassian suite, Dynatrace, ElasticSearch, Cucumber, Selenium, InteliJ, AWX, JIRA Xray, LeanFT, SQL, PowerBI, ServiceNow.
    • Linux Experience:** Minimum of 2+ years' experience working with Linux (Redhat).
    • Kubernetes and Docker Experience:** Minimum of 1-year experience working with Kubernetes, Docker and Ansible/cfengine.
    • Automation Experience:** Experience with Release automation, system administration, system configuration, and system debugging.
    • Scripting Languages:** Experience using scripting languages, configuration management tools, and command execution frameworks.
