Description

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:

Assist Audio Mixer

Microphone set ups in studio and on location

Equipment checking

Charge and manage batteries and department consumables

Collect info for administration such as the cue sheets

Do all paper work associated with audio department e.g. labels, cue sheets

Work with crew

Trouble shooting when necessary

Ensure presenters and guest are ready to go on air

Ensure that no cables are showing

Brief and usher presenters and guest

A relevant tertiary qualification in media (preferably audio related)

A minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a live broadcast environment

Knowledge of audio principles

Understanding of language of television, production and role players

Understanding of the broadcast and digital environment

Ability to take instruction

Ability to troubleshoot

Well mannered and have good communication skills

Team player

Be computer literate

Good hearing

Able to work under pressure and make deadlines

Must be able to work without supervision and take responsibility

Work in a multi camera and outside broadcast environment
