Position Description

The main purpose of the job is to ensure that all administration related to incoming shipments (air and sea) as well as customs functions are completed prior to shipment arrival in accordance to SARS requirements for all divisions within the Volvo Group.


Reporting:
This role will report to the Service Centre Manager.


Job Objectives:


  • Oversee and verify customs clearance process completed by service providers.
  • Inbound and Outbound freight cost reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance to all statutory, legal and ethical practices and ensure controlled deviation handling if required.
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure all administration and monthend functions are completed timeously by ensuring invoices are processed on time for payment as well as ensuring cost are allocated to the correct BA's.

Qualification & Job Experience:


  • Must have a Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain.
  • Must have 3 5 years experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Must have the ability to understand complete supply chain / imports and exports / SARS regulations.
