THE ROLE
Are you passionate about travel and adventure holidays such as trekking? Do you enjoy engaging with people and helping them plan their vacations? Are you the planner in your family or group of friends who is extremely organized and focuses on the details? Do you enjoy following processes? Then you are the person we are looking for Knowledge of trekking in the Himalayas is an advantage


This hybrid role, based in Cape Town, entails supporting clients on their trekking adventures in Nepal. While standard working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday, during peak seasons (March to May and September to November), availability for night shift hours and weekend assistance in responding to and supporting client emergency evacuations on treks in Nepal is a requirement.


YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 7 Day week shift including weekends with 2 days off in any given week
  • Conduct thorough administrative tasks before clients travel in close collaboration with the sales and operations teams.
These tasks encompass a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
invoicing, meticulous document preparation & maintanance, reservations and cross-referencing data in multiple sheets

  • Lead pretrip call briefings for clients
  • Emergency evacuation support for local teams as needed in Nepal
  • Execute and manage trips for clients operationally with our ground teams
  • Build relationships with our teams around the globe
  • Any other administrative and client facing tasks as per organizational requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Based in Cape Town
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Sheets, Mail, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and strong administrative skills
  • Knowledge of high altitude trekking (Himalayas)
  • Willingness and availability to work after hours and weekends as the need arises
  • A dedicated home work environment, including: a reliable computer and high speed internet
  • Highenergy and proactive personality
  • Confident communicator, enjoy talking to clients and take initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a processoriented approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and assume responsibility
  • Quick learning agility within a dynamic environment
  • A zest for life and a sense of humor

NICE TO HAVE:


  • Familiarity with other adventure trip destinations offered by our company
  • Experience with CRM software such as HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar
