Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Must have a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Distribution, Warehousing or Logistics
  • Minimum 3 years experience within distribution and warehousing, inventory control and/or logistics is essential
  • Must be computer literate with SAP experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills are important
  • Knowledge of the Seed and Agricultural chemical markets is advantageous
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Executing the daytoday logistics functionality of self and Logistics Specialists.
  • Completing freight bill validation of standard shipment cost in SAP vs. TMS and submitting PO number, GRV number per freight bill to finance for invoice processing.
  • Consolidating daily VLO60 report and submitting it to the commercial, warehouse and distribution, customer interaction teams.
  • Managing the delivery confirmation process with the commercial team.
  • Ensuring all load planning with carriers are conducted and all shipment advice notes are provided to the commercial, warehouse and distribution, customer interaction teams.
  • Receiving and printing picking slips and ensuring confirmed delivery information is handed over to the designated freight carrier for planning and the warehouse team for processing.
  • Managing the shipment creation process in TMS.
  • Ensuring customer delivery booklets are created, vehicles have been booked and shipment is ready to dispatch to the customer.
  • Managing and monitoring logistics functionality KPIs.
  • Ensuring all documentation PODs (warehouse copy, transporter copy) is received and retained per record retention process.
  • Completing all interfacility STOs for the seed and crop protection portfolio.
  • Liaising with the commercial and warehouse team to manage and coordinate the GRN process for the logistics function, ensuring all returns are credited within 48 hours of receipt of the return.
  • Ensuring upload of all consignment stock is processed and inventory is returned. SAP system to be updated.
  • Assisting with monthly cycle counts.
  • Maintaining effective communication, collaboration, and feedback mechanisms with local and international teams, including preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Ensuring warehouse and distribution import and exports are managed efficiently by providing the required documentation.
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements for seed and crop protection warehouse and distribution activities, including freight carrier compliance.
  • Driving the warehouse and distribution dangerous goods compliance programme.
  • Liaising with suppliers/vendors and undertaking vendor evaluation to ensure good service delivery while ensuring timely approval and payment of their invoices.
  • Maintaining cross collaboration relations with all stakeholders (commercial, customer interaction, credit control, finance, procurement, quality assurance).
  • Facilitating development, coaching, and leading the logistics specialist team. Ensuring the people pipeline is in place to support succession planning.
  • Supporting the site ISO45001 and ISO9001 programs to enable compliance to local regulatory and company corporate standards.
  • Supporting customer complaints investigations.
