This key role will be responsible for managing company assets, including production machinery and equipment, as well as production output, risk management, inventory/supplier management, and factory operations.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing a diverse team of artisans and production staff, based at multiple plants, to ensure production costs are kept at a reasonable level, effective maintenance schedules are implemented, and improvements and modifications to equipment and production machinery are driven, while meeting production targets with the highest quality and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Manage a team of artisans and production staff, providing technical support and guidance to ensure the achievement of production targets.
    • Maintain meticulous staffing and performance records, ensuring that employees are trained and developed to meet the needs of the business.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with HSE, Quality (ISO 9001 and 14001), and other relevant standards.
    • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, reporting on expenses, variances, losses, and other financial metrics.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

    • A Mechanical Engineering qualification and a minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management and production optimization.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • A valid driver's license and a clear criminal and credit record.
