    Description

    Nova Pioneer is seeking a dynamic Maternity Cover English Teacher to teach the Intermediate Phase at our Ormonde Primary school.

    About the Role

    Resident Teachers lead instruction and planning for subject- or grade-level classrooms, driving a rigorous enquiry-based learning environment. They are supported by Deans of Instruction who partner with them in their growth journey, working full-time to empower teachers' development through observation and feedback.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with learning designers to design impactful lessons.
    • Deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons using technology to enhance instructional delivery.
    • Observe, coach, and mentor Apprentice Teachers.
    • Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons, ensuring students are invested in their academic excellence.
    • Set ambitious goals for all students and provide student feedback for internalization.
    • Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress, adjusting instructional content and delivery techniques accordingly.
    • Participate in weekly feedback meetings to enhance teaching practices.
    • Fully participate in opportunities for professional growth, including team meetings and reflections, professional development, coaching, and organization-wide learning.
    • Communicate regularly with parents through various channels.
    • Contribute to co-curricular programming and participate in collaborative teams and committees.

    About You

    We seek an experienced teacher with:

    • A completed Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent qualification.
    • SACE registration and certificate.
    • English and Mathematics teaching experience or curriculum knowledge.
    • Ability to lead a classroom independently and adapt to a new environment.
