Overview
My client a well established Portfolio of Safari Lodges in a Private Big 5 Game reserve in Limpopo is recruiting for a well qualified and experienced Head Field / Trails Guide to take over the management of this department within the Portfolio of Lodges.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid RSA Driver's License and PDP
- First Aid
- FGASA Level
- Field Guide
- Trails Guide
- Firearm competency
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5 star lodge necessary
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Big 5 reserve
- Experience in wildlife photography will be an advantage
Package
Salary is negotiable depending on qualification, experience and references
- Accommodation
- Meals while on duty
- 21 days on7 days off work cycle
- 15 days annual leave

Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Meticulous in all aspects of Managing the Guiding Department
- Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff in the Guiding Department
- Staff training and development
- Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
- All administrative duties pertaining to the Guiding Department
- Overseeing and Management of the Portfolio's Fleet
- Allocation of rangers and trackers to daily game drives
- Daily Game Drives & Bush walks
- Hosting Duties
- Allocation of Airport Transfers
- Guest Activity and Airport Transfers
- Little paws program
- Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
- Photographic safaris
- Reporting to Group Operations Manager(s) and Head Office
