Description
Looking for a mature bookkeeper for a 4 month maternity fill-in contract.


Capturing and Processor of Information

  • Strong Processing ability
  • Quick learner and able to work at a fast pace.
  • Full Cash Book Processing
  • Proficient in XERO and PASTEL, EXCEL
  • Debtors invoicing and receipts and Recons
  • Supplier Management
  • Be able to review ledgers and correct incorrect allocations monthly.
  • Record and Capture Bank cost allocation
  • Cashbook and bank account reconciliation
  • Record cash book transactions to the correct, contract/ overheads ledgers.
  • Reconciling Intercompany balances/ transactions.
  • Record creditors transactions (invoicing/Delivery)
  • Monthly creditors statement recons
  • Monthly creditors cash flow list for payment
  • Passing Journals raising Invoices and SARS audit requests
  • Ensure ledger accounts are in order and reconciliations are done.
  • Setup of accounting systems from start up.
  • Making sure all historical transactions are correct.
  • Project based reporting.
  • Bi Monthly Vat Reconciliations.
  • Bi Annual Tax Reconciliations.

Experience and Qualification,

Should be an individual that can work in a fast pace working environment,


The individual should be able to handle multiple tasks and request from multiple individuals within the finance department we run an outsourced Financial Business and deal with numerous clients.


The individual should be able perform required accounting functions with mínimal oversight/ have excellent administrative skills and an eye for detail.


The individual should be able to be office based in Bryanston, but have the ability to work remotely if required.

Working over a weekend on an ad hock basis will be required, especially around reporting periods, Jan/Feb July/Aug.


Should be able to communicate with external suppliers and build working relationships to obtain relevant information and documents to meet required deadlines.


PASTEL, XERO, EXCEL, QUICKBOOKS Knowledge is essential,

  • Excel, Word, Computer literate in: Microsoft Office programs,
  • Attention to detail.

  • Be able to work well under pressure and deadline driven.

  • Strong administration skills
  • Good Communication abilities
