    Description

    Data Warehouse Manager

    We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Manager to join our team of dynamic experts within a consultancy specialising in AI and applications. This role will involve enabling future needs for advanced analytics and AI, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and supporting new databases, reporting, data warehouse and business intelligence applications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement and document Business Intelligence Solutions to drive business value and improve decision-making.
    • Contribute to the overall data warehouse architecture and database designs, ensuring scalability and reliability.
    • Maintain and oversee the administration and maintenance of the data warehouse, ensuring data quality and integrity.
    • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence and reporting technologies and processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for Business Intelligence (BI) reports and applications, ensuring clear and concise communication.
    • Design and develop reports and dashboards based on Business Requirements Document (BRD) and customer specifications, delivering actionable insights.
    • Develop feasible technical specifications and process flows for data provision, ensuring seamless integration.
    • Extract, transform and load (ELT) data using relevant tools, verifying and quality-assuring data provided.
    • Translate business requirements into workable solutions and document solutions into technical specifications, ensuring transparency and accountability.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Rlevant IT and data analytics qualifications (e.g. B.Tech or B.Sc. (Informatics)) - Essential.
    • Dimensional modelling and/or relevant Microsoft certification - Advantageous.
    • 3-5 years of management experience leading teams of 5-8 people, with a proven track record of success.
    • Training/qualifications in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel, Star quest, Python, Scala Spark, AWS Sagemaker.
    • Experience working with AWS /Azure SQL elastic instance, Data factory, Power BI.
    • Solid understanding of Metadata constructs and EDW principles.
    • Familiarity with Data Marts and proven data modelling techniques.
    • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio.

    Salary: R900k - R1.1mil cost to company per annum.
