- Develop and implement the annual sales strategy for the designated area.
- Create tactical and operational plans to achieve strategic goals.
- Provide regular updates on departmental objectives and timelines.
- Discover and engage new independent and franchise hardware merchants.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new merchants.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper setup and training for merchants.
- Cultivate strong relationships with hardware merchants and industry stakeholders.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the industry and how credit solutions can enhance merchant operations.
- Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the company’s values.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing hardware merchants.
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss sales performance and operational challenges.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Execute marketing strategies within merchant sales channels to meet sales objectives.
- Implement promotional campaigns as outlined in the annual sales plan.
- Lead the external sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and customer focus.
- Set clear targets for team members and monitor their progress.
- Identify training needs and ensure team members receive appropriate coaching.
- Share performance reports with stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to management on project progress and targets.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing among team members and internal stakeholders.
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales role.
- Experience in the hardware sector or financial services is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales or experience in relationship management.
