Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) professional to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SHE management, with experience in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct plant-related SHE inspections to identify areas for improvement
• Implement and maintain the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform waste management inspections and investigate incidents to prevent re-occurrence
• Document and report on all SHE-related issues and incidents to stakeholders
• Assist in developing and implementing SHE standards, vision, and culture to promote a safe working environment
• Conduct and record training sessions related to SHE management to enhance employee knowledge and skills
• Establish policies and procedures to ensure effective SHE management
• Provide administrative support to the SHE department
• Assist in implementing the company's continuous improvement program to drive sustainability and efficiency
• Develop and execute SHE campaigns to promote awareness and engagement among employees
• Improve ergonomics and process efficiencies within the plant to enhance productivity and reduce risk

Requirements:

• Matric certification
• National Diploma/B.Tech in Safety, Health and Environmental Management
• SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, and ISO 14001 and 45001 certification
• Ability to work shifts
• 2-3 years of related work experience in the automotive industry
• Sound knowledge of applicable legislation
• Good interpersonal/communication skills
• Ability to conduct and facilitate training
• Computer literacy
• Valid code 8 driver's license and own transport
