Production Manager Responsibilities

Implement, manage and support SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
Budgeting and cost management of products and assist with new product costings models.
Analyse budgets and continuously control production costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
Manage all activities within the production process, including maintenance and the workforce.
Organize workflow to meet specific deadlines and implement production performance measures.
Report regularly on production performance and timelines.
Handle logistics, warehousing and stock of raw materials used in production.
Manage all teams within the production department.
Create and implement organisational/production changes on an operative level.
Focus on growing and streamlining production to increase revenue and profitability by implementing necessary changes to products and the production line.
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
Reports to upper management.
Manage maintenance schedules and budget.

Production Manager Skills

Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
Good people management skills and management of staff.
Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimise risk.
Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with various teams.
Strong problemsolving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.
Always keeping the enduser/customer in mind.
Being results and deadline driven.
Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.

Production Manager Experience & Qualifications

Commercial trucking / transport experience will be
very advantageous.
Relevant qualification/s in industrial engineering, production, operations management etc.
Additional technical qualification will be advantageous.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
R700, R1,200,000.00 per year
