Pharmacist Assistant, Brackendowns, Gauteng


A retail pharmacy based in Phoenix, KZN, is seeking to employ a pharmacy assistant / Cashier to assist the pharmacist with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.


Requirements:


  • General assistance with the daily pharmacy duties
  • Manage prescription requests from clients
  • Prepare client medication in accordance with correct labelling and pharmacy protocols
  • Ensure a clean and well organized environment
  • Attend to the necessary stock taking abilities
  • Attend to expired medication and bring this to the attention of the responsible pharmacist
  • Attend to point of sale duties

Qualification and skills:

years experience as a pharmacy assistant / Cashier

  • Certification as a pharmacy assistant basic (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice will be an advantage

Working hours (retail hours on shifts):

  • Monday to Sunday: shifts: 9h00 to 17h00 and 10h30 to 18h30 with scheduled days off

Salary:
From R40.00 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • High School (matric) (preferred)

Experience:


  • Pharmacy: 1 year (required)
