    Description

    A leading player in the red meat industry seeks a skilled Millwright to join their maintenance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified artisan with expertise in mechanical & electrical repairs, factory equipment maintenance, and food processing environments.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade-Tested) - Essential
    • National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering - Advantageous

    We are looking for someone with:

    • At least 3 years' experience in the meat or food processing industry - Highly Preferred
    • Proven technical knowledge and skills in Pneumatics & Hydraulics, PLC Fault Finding & Troubleshooting, VSD & Inverter Maintenance, and factory maintenance & repair (Mechanical & Electrical)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular maintenance on all factory equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
    • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to prevent breakdowns and maintain production efficiency
    • Detect and resolve faults in PLC, VSD, and inverter systems to minimize production losses
    • Maintain and repair air and hydraulic systems to ensure smooth operation of factory equipment
    • Work safely and efficiently in temperature-controlled areas (-25°C to 0°C) when required
    • Monitor critical spare parts and report stock requirements to support production needs
    • Ensure adherence to OHS and food safety standards at all times
    • Support project teams with new installations, commissioning, and factory upgrades
