    • Lead Generation: Identify and establish contact with potential customers through various means, including research, referrals, and networking.
    • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service to drive repeat business.
    • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, identifying new opportunities for potential sales, and analyzing market data to inform strategic decisions.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, tracking progress towards targets, and analyzing data to optimize sales strategies.
    • Customer Engagement: Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs, promote products and services, and provide technical advice and support.
    • Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activity, and marketing efforts.
    • Customer Support: Assist customers with queries related to products, pricing, and availability, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
    • Account Servicing: Service new and existing customers, building trust and loyalty through exceptional service and timely communication.
    • Call Reporting: Complete call reports to track sales activity, customer engagement, and marketing efforts.

    • Customer Relationships: Establish, develop, and maintain good customer relationships, built on trust, respect, and excellent service.
    • Market Trends: Accurately report on market trends, pricing, and projects, informing strategic decisions and driving sales growth.
    • Sales Order Fulfillment: Expedite sales orders, ensuring timely delivery of products and services to meet customer needs.
    • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Internal Sales staff to ensure best possible service to customers, sharing knowledge, and best practices to drive sales growth.
    • Systems and Processes: Check stock, generate quotes, and process sales orders using Syspro, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all sales-related activities.
    • Counter Support: Assist the Counter Sales staff when required, providing support and guidance to ensure seamless customer service.
    • Query Resolution: Sort out account queries and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.

    Requirements:

    • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in selling steel and steel-related products, with a strong background in retail and sales.
    • Syspro Experience: Must have experience with Syspro, a comprehensive enterprise resource planning system used for managing sales, inventory, and customer relationships.
    • Free State Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Free State province and surrounding areas, including local markets, competitors, and customer preferences.
    • Target Driven: Must be target driven regarding turnover and gross profit, with a focus on achieving sales goals and exceeding expectations.
    • Sales Process: Understanding of the sales process and dynamics, including lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.
    • Customer Service: A commitment to excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and satisfaction.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas and build rapport with customers and suppliers.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle for traveling to customer sites.
