Operations Executive Role

The Operations Executive is a leadership role within the Discovery Connect Distribution Services (DCDS) team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is responsible for overseeing the Park Square office and ensuring optimal performance is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day office logistics, including facilities, office operations, and health & safety.
• Achieve 95% floor occupancy on a monthly basis.
• Ensure all sales teams are fully staffed according to head count requirements.
• Participate in new candidate interviews to assess company fit and competency.
• Drive and support Sales team performance to exceed 95% of monthly targets.
• Manage Risk and Compliance incidents.
• Oversee office expenses vs budget allocation.
• Serve as an escalation point for safety and security incidents.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders on maintenance, conflict resolution, and event planning.
• Support DCDS (KZN), Team leaders, and Sales managers on people and office-related matters.
• Develop and implement a talent pipeline strategy for sales agents in KZN.
• Implement initiatives set by EXCO and DCDS Board.

Requirements:

• Recognised Degree
• 5 - 6 years' experience in a managerial role
• Financial industry experience working with Discovery product portfolio: Life, Health, Insure, GAP, Bank, Invest, Vitality
• Experience working with stakeholders across numerous initiatives and concurrent activities
