    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services and performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to our Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interact with customers in a professional manner, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to agreed timelines.
    • Administer scripts and perform claiming/capturing related procedures accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on.
    • Engage with healthcare professionals as needed.
    • Solve problems and follow up on queries promptly.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with customers via telephone or other means regarding medication and Healthcare Services.
    • Capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre accurately.
    • Handle queries regarding prescriptions.
    • Manage patient profiles effectively.
    • Assist with Chronic authorizations.
    • Liaise with other departments as required.
    • Perform ad hoc tasks as per operational needs.

    Requirements:

    • SAPC knowledge and relevant legal understanding.
    • Sound knowledge of the chronic authorization process and procedures.
    • Customer service orientation.
    • Ethical working practice and compliance.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Bilingualism (with English being one of the requirements).
    • Ability to work with patients and adapt to various departmental duties.
    • Initiative to provide patient satisfaction.
    • Adaptability, positive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
    • Compliance with Principles and Values, Working with People, Delivering Results, and Meeting Customer Expectations.

    Qualifications:

    • Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (Essential).
    • Minimum 1 year experience in the role of Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic.
