    Description

    Pharmaceutical Industry Opportunity: Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Drug Product Operations Manager

    The position is based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and will report directly to the GCM organisation based in Denmark.

    The Role

    • Ensure Novo Nordisk's interests regarding short to midterm capacity, compliance, quality, manufacturing readiness, and activities at the CMO.
    • Develop new work standards and setups for collaboration between GCM DP and the CMO delivering aseptic manufacturing activities.
    • Develop and follow up on joint KPIs and create a robust working relationship with the CMO.
    • Initiate and implement changes to maintain and improve operations.
    • Support CMOs all over the world.

    Travel of ~3-5 weeks per year is expected.

    Requirements

    • MSc or BSc within Pharmacy, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good command of English.
    • 10 years of experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging and cGMP.
    • 5 years of experience with outsourcing or managing global CMOs.
    • Experience in Production, Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management.
    • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Excellent relationship management skills.
    • Effective communication skills providing clear and timely information to stakeholders.
    • Strong GxP knowledge and understanding.
    • A technical, analytical, and structured approach to problem-solving.
