    Job Title: System Development Specialist

    The ideal candidate will conduct periodic reviews of existing systems and applications for effectiveness and efficiency in meeting business needs, developing strategies for improvement.

    Scope development requests and requirements from business, evaluate through feasibility study for adoption decision making.

    Identify member challenges and restraints of use / ease of access to systems, plan and oversee system improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct system reviews and develop improvement strategies.
    • Evaluate development requests and feasibility studies.
    • Identify member challenges and improve system accessibility.
    • Plan, scope, document, and implement system enhancements and new systems.

    Technical Requirements:

    • Intermediate development level required (SQL queries & updates, Visual Basic, C#, HTML).
    • Interdisciplinary system solution architecture understanding required (e.g., Microsoft, Unix, SQL, APIs, Apache, IIS).

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Drive Data Quality initiatives (3rd party enrichment, mandatory fields, procedures, OCR existing documents, standardization, identification of missing fields and corrective plans).
    • Build Data warehouse & marts, PowerBI reporting.

    Research and Implementation of Projects:

    • Establish and ensure adherence to best practice guidelines of System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) of all business applications.
    • Good project management skills, and able to follow Agile Development and Project management methodologies.
    • Implement standards of compliance and good practice, taking into account audit recommendations, as well as SOC2 compliance.
    • Factor in security, audit, and Disaster Recovery requirements in all projects.

    Desired Experience & Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree (IT) non-negotiable.
    • Microsoft SQL, IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering.
    • Professional (ESEP), DEAC Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA).
    • 5 years ICT security experience in a Systems Development Environment.
    • On-premise and cloud experience.
