Qualifications and Experience

• Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Experience: 1-10 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on CI/CD, automation, and cloud technologies.
• Language Requirement: Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial Requirements

• Skills & Knowledge:
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and GitLab, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and web application firewalls (WAF).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and automation of testing and monitoring processes.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud environments, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor systems and applications in real time to detect and resolve issues proactively. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to facilitate seamless software development and deployment. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on architectural decisions and best practices.
• Security: Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring that all infrastructure is compliant with security standards and free of vulnerabilities.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in system performance and collaborate with the development and operations teams to optimize applications, databases, and services.
• Documentation: Write and maintain clear documentation related to system configurations, workflows, and best practices.
