    Description

    Area Vice President Sales Leader

    The Area Vice President Sales leader will be responsible for setting and executing a strategy that drives growth across the Salesforce clouds in Enterprise and Mid Market segments in Africa.

    This person will serve as a key executive leader in the sales organization, building out and leading the sales organization to create an organization recognized for its strong Salesforce culture, commitment to Salesforce values.

    The Area Vice President will be accountable for attracting, developing and retaining top talent in the sales organization, implementing scalable operating models, driving go-to-market execution and pipeline generation initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    1. Build and Lead Sales Organization - Responsible for building and leading the sales organization in Africa.
    2. Implement Scalable Operating Model - Implementing a scalable operating model, driving go-to-market execution and pipeline generation initiatives, supported by strong cross-functional collaboration & execution.
    3. Talent Attraction and Retention - Attracting, developing and retaining top talent in the sales organization.
    4. Customer Acquisition Strategy - Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy to generate aggressive annual growth in revenue and bookings.
    5. Maintain Key Customer Relationships - Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
    6. Sales Forecasting - Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
    7. Manage Overall Sales Process - Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management, strong execution, and accountability to drive consistent growth across multiple segments, geographies, and industries.
    8. Strategic and Operational Planning - Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

    Requirements

    1. Proven Sales Experience - Proven years in software and/or applications sales (ideally in a CRM, ERP and/or B2B SW company), selling primarily to the CxO level.
    2. C-suite Level Resources - C-suite level resources, aligned with Regional Vice Presidents, Account Executives and internal leadership teams to present a single front internally and help represent a single vision for our customers.
    3. Matrixed Organization Experience - Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions with strong operational and analytical abilities.
    4. Leadership Experience - 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales in Africa or Emerging Market.
    5. Talent Development - Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing enterprise sales organization in Africa.
    6. Enterprise Sales Experience - Strategic enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings.
    7. Customer Satisfaction - Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and referenceable customers.
    8. Cloud-based Applications Experience - Experience selling cloud-based enterprise applications is strongly preferred.
    9. Revenue Achievement - Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.
