VACANCY- Instrumentation Technician**
MINIMUM 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Seeking a top-notch Senior Instrumentation Technician for a giant in the manufacturing industry. The client is based in Vereeniging. We are looking for true go-getters, individuals who are willing to go the extra mile in getting the job done. You must have passion for your industry as this is a tough environment. We are looking for the best of the best here

Requirements:


  • Min 10 years experiences gained in PLC and SCADA software development and support, ideally in a cement or powder handling and batching systems environment, along with a strong desire and capability to empower people.
  • The position will require an individual with sound knowledge of instrumentation, variable speed drives and automation systems.
  • This position will require standby duty and overtime when required.

Responsibilities and expectations, but not limited to:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repairs to all equipment
  • Electrical, Instrumentation and electronic repair and maintenance of all machinery within the factory, and all associated electrical supply and control panels.
  • Strong programming and faultfinding knowledge of DELTA and SIEMENS Variable Speed Drives and PLC's will be advantageous.
  • Faultfinding and analysis of machine condition and electronic component failures.
  • Load cell fault finding, diagnostics and calibration
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on weighing systems, level control systems, level transmitters, and control system as per procedures and schedules.
  • Industrial Safety
  • Keeping abreast of technical developments in all fields.
  • Maintaining machine regulations.
  • Abide by all safety regulations.
  • Being available for Call Outs and overtime work
  • Being available to work weekends.

Qualification:

  • Trade Certified in the relevant Electrical/Instrumentation fields.
  • N6 or T4 Qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Siemens Drives and PLC courses will be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Able to work in a team
  • Able to work independent
  • Analysing and problem solving
  • Knowledge on occupational safety
  • Sound knowledge of Siemens and Lenze PLCs and VSDs
  • Sound knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
