Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the Modderfontein, Johannesburg team

Plan Employment (Shift Rostering, Leave Management, Wellbeing Programmes, Medicals and Job Refresher Training, Overtime Scheduling and Absenteeism)
Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ appropriate number of employees.
Report inaccuracy to the Senior Management; ensure the employees are directed to the correct policies and procedures of the Company. All employees adhere to the Clients policies and procedures.
Coach, Mentor and Develop staff, including overseeing new employee on boarding and providing career development planning opportunities.
Lead employees using performance management
Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and all operational requirements of the site
Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfil the strategy and the goals of the site efficiently and effectively
Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet the sites productivity and business targets, quality goals
Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the site. Prepare monthly reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.

Requirements:

Grade 12 with Maths and Science
Relevant Diploma / Degree
Minimum 3 years' Supervisory experience, gained in a Engineering environment
Valid drivers license
Knowledge of Act 85 and regulations, SHE regulations and policies, different types and purposes of tools, operating guidelines of tools, disciplinary codes, substance abuse policy
Must be willing to work overtime when needed
