    IT Support Specialist Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining computer systems, devices, and networks, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Configure and install user devices and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and repair faulty devices and peripherals promptly.
    • Ensure all devices are updated and comply with security protocols to protect against potential threats.
    • Provide user support and training as required to enhance productivity.
    • Manage and update the IT asset register accurately.
    • Install and manage relevant software on user devices to meet business needs.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues efficiently.
    • Ensure all software is licensed and up-to-date to prevent compatibility issues.
    • Provide user support and training to promote effective use.
    • Manage networks across the organization to facilitate communication.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues quickly to minimize downtime.
    • Implement and enforce network security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
    • Report relevant network queries to appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.

    Minimum Selection Criteria

    1. Demonstrate a high level of knowledge in software, hardware, and networking fundamentals.
    2. Exhibit strong oral communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues.
    3. Display analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.
    4. Proven time management and customer service skills to deliver results under pressure.
    5. Possess a tertiary IT hardware and software support qualification or equivalent experience.
    6. Showcase IT support experience as an essential requirement for this role.
    7. Demonstrate an inquisitive nature and ability to resolve issues independently.
    8. Ability to influence team members across the organization through effective communication.
    9. Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
