Job Advert Summary:


To coordinate the physical asset verifications and serve as the liaison between Zwartkopjes cost centre owners and corporate finance for the maintenance and updates of reported asset records.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with asset verification
  • Code B Driver's license and the ability to pass RW's driving test
  • Accounting background, specific to data collection and reconciliation required
  • A qualification in Asset Management would be an advantage

Primary Duties:


  • Ensure all fixed, movable and small asset registers are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure all new and existing assets are barcoded and recorded on the asset register timeously
  • Compile management reports indicating all missing, transfers and scrapped assets
  • Ensure compliance to IFRS requirements

Knowledge:


  • Asset Management
  • Understand general accounting concepts related to assets
  • IFRS standards
