Description

Essential Criteria:

Matric with 5 years relevant work experience or Undergraduate degree with majors in Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar.

Alternatively, at least 5 years work experience in a business intelligence or SQL Development role will be considered.

At least 3 years' experience with SQL Server Integration services (SSIS).

Advanced experience in T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server

Experience building data pipelines involving big data.

Perform SQL database sharding and indexing procedures as required to handle large data loads.

Data visualisation and reporting experience using SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services and Power BI.

Be able to give accurate technical estimates.

Conceptualising new solutions based on business requirements.

Working knowledge of the Azure platform.

Demonstrates consistent behaviour aligned to our organizational culture.

Desirable Criteria:

Knowledge of event-driven programming.

Exposure to event streaming technologies (Kafka).

Experience with or knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or something similar.

Experience integrating with API solutions.

Experience in data analysis and reconciliation will be advantageous.

DBA experience.
