Chief Information Officer (CIO)

The CIO is responsible for the Group's technology strategy, implementation, and usability, including determining current systems and technology use, developing a strategy to leverage technology for growth and value creation, and improving productivity and profitability while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Education:
- A bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is required.
- A master's degree in business management or IT management is beneficial.
- Completed a senior management development program.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a CIO in information technology in financial services.
- 10+ years of management-level experience.

Your Impact:

- Build and manage a team through effective recruitment, performance management, and talent management.
- Implement the company's employment equity plan.
Processes:
- Create business value through technology by setting objectives and strategies for the IT department.
- Select and implement suitable technology to streamline internal operations and optimize strategic benefits.
- Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
- Work with upper-level IT staff to develop and implement department goals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies to improve IT department performance and increase company profits.
- Develop and implement IT policies, protocols, and standards.
- Ensure IT department strategies and processes support company-wide goals.
- Negotiate contracts with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Communicate with executives regarding costs, value, and risk-potential of new IT projects.
- Oversee the annual IT business development plan in conjunction with the CEO and within budget and business strategy.
- Monitor and report on operations.
- Direct and organize IT-related projects.
- Manage external service providers.
- Collaborate with Support Services departments to implement Group policies related to Compliance, HR, Finance, and other services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
Minimum 15 years of experience as a CIO in financial services
