    A key role has been identified for a Trackless Operations Supervisor with our organisation. This individual will be responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of short and medium-term production plans.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards, as well as relevant codes of practice and escalation procedures in case of deviations or non-compliance.
    • Establish and maintain safe, efficient, and proper operation/use of all machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, identifying areas for remedial intervention as needed.
    • Provide visible leadership and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
    • Accurately and promptly report all relevant safety and production matters.
    • Maintain effective people management practices by defining clear roles and competencies, and ensuring effective team delivery.
    • Coach and guide front-line leaders to assume direct leadership accountability over their operational teams in respect of safety management, shift planning, work assignment, and direction.
    • In conjunction with front-line leaders, coordinate and advise on optimal team assignments relative to planned operational, production, and related work cycles to ensure safe and effective task delivery.
    • In conjunction with front-line leaders, coordinate and advise on operational logistics, including stores, materials handling, equipment maintenance, preparation, and servicing to ensure end-to-end task planning and elimination of delays.
    • Participate in the development, adjustment, and execution of operational plans and schedules.
    • Contribute to collaborative cross-functional team activities to share best practices, drive technical excellence, and enhance sustainable commercial decision-making.
    • Analyse operational delivery effectiveness and recommend innovative solutions to optimise interfaces between teams, processes, and systems.
    • Manage relationships with internal, Business Partner, and external stakeholders to maintain broad accountability against operational delivery, service level, commercial, community, and ethical standards.
    • Resolve issues and escalate them in a timely manner.
    • E nsure that all relevant production targets are met continuously.
    • E nsure control of explosives and correct application of planning and budget.

    Requirements:

    • Matriculation Certificate.
    • Shift Supervisor Certificate of Competency (Ticket) / Shift Boss Certificate (Ticket).
    • Underground Blasting Certificate / National Rock Breaking Certificate for Underground Mines Level 3.
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an underground Miner in a trackless mining environment.
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an underground Shift Supervisor in a trackless mining environment.
    • Total minimum experience: 6 – 10 years.
