Role purpose
The South African BUD is responsible for the smooth running of the account in ABInBev's biggest African market.

He/she must ensure a healthy relationship with client, drive strong team dynamics, and provide strategic guidance, ultimately ensuring that the best solutions are offered to client's media challenges, requirements and needs.

The SA BUD will also act as the SA Head of Digital, and will therefore be responsible for digital excellence, ensuring that best practice is adopted, implemented and maintained.


Specific responsibilities:

People

  • Assist with team structure decisions and appointments.
  • Ensure that the team is correctly staffed as per SLA, with highquality team members.
  • On board new team members on client structure and ways of working.
  • Ensure regular team updates with latest client/market info, including relevant training.
  • Establish and drive a positive, highperformance team culture.
Process

  • Ensure that processes and procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure regular review of processes in order to secure best possible outcomes.
  • Communicate any critical changes in dentsu processes to internal team and client.
Product

  • Assist with high quality, strategic output.
  • Where possible, ensure deployment and adoption of relevant dentsu tools / solutions.
Commercial

  • Ensure the commercial health of the account in SA.
  • Work closely with procurement and internal dentsu staff to iron out issues.
  • Keep finger on the pulse and highlight any risks / opportunities to client / dentsu.
Other

  • Support team members with client meetings and communication.
  • Ensure the establishment, tracking and monitoring of performance KPIs.
  • Ensure implementation of performance review recommendations and solutions.
Digital

  • Have a highlevel view of all digital ABInBev activity in SA.
  • Ensure deployment of digital media principles and digital excellence.
  • Drive high quality digital strategic thinking across ABInBev's portfolio of brands.
  • Assist with the setting and achievement of KPIs.
  • Assist with digital investment discussions, negotiations and tracking.
  • Continuously upskill and train team members on digital excellence.
  • Ensure collaboration with Draftline, as well as internal dentsu partners
