Description:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all company equipment. Resolving issues by agreement with end users/client within allotted Service Level Agreement time periods.

Responsibilities:

Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on IT equipment
Ensure that all TOM and TOM peripheral equipment is operational
Repairing of swopped out equipment to operational specification for reuse in operating environment
Maintain test environment equipment in a working condition
Setup, install and administer computer hardware, software and networks
Carry out work on site as required; participate in the installation, configuration, and upgrade of computer hardware and software
Respond to and diagnose a wide range of more complex problems through discussions with endusers and team members
Conduct training to clients on company equipment
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

Matric with a National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
35 years' professional work experience with hardware; desktop computers and servers software installation, networking and troubleshooting
Exceptional customer service orientation
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
Ability to work under pressure
Valid and clean Driver's License
