PROPOSED POSITION


THINK is seeking a suitably qualified HR Generalist for the anticipated USAID Accelerate Tuberculosis Elimination and Program Resilience Activity (ACCELERATE 1- High Burden Areas) project to be based in Gauteng/KwaZulu-Natal, to oversee the Sedibeng and Tshwane region.


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or Similar
years relevant experience in HR


Advantageous

  • Experience working within an NGO/NPO

Duties:


  • Designed adverts for internal and external publications in conjunction with relevant managers.
  • Compile competencybased interview templates in conjunction with relevant managers.
  • Setup interviews with stakeholders and create interview packs for all panel members.
  • Conduct competencybased interviews.
  • Perform reference, qualification, criminal and ITC checks (where applicable) for successful applicants prior to extending offers.
  • Extend offers and contracts to successful applicants in line with salary grading
  • Create and maintain recruitment files and records for audit or query purposes.
  • Accurately record data as per the recruitment processes on the tracking sheet.
  • Generate, compile and submit accurate management reports.
  • Support HR Manager in providing an effective and efficient transactional service to its internal employees throughout the value chain
  • Execute and monitor the Performance Feedback Sessions across the organisation.
  • Conduct exit interviews and implement interventions to address trends and concerns and reporting quarterly
  • Execute and implement the employee wellness plan by the annual deadline
  • Responsible for the administration and implementation of the human resource life cycle including but not limited to recruitment, selection, induction, orientation, performance management, discipline and grievance and termination.
  • Responsible for the HR related contractors administrative process end to end (Employee wellness practitioners, Independent Contractors and other Service Providers)
  • Provide HR Officer support and assistance to the line management as required
  • Compile HR letters relating to contract renewals, transfer/ increase/ promotion/ retirement/ retrenchment/change in working conditions letters, maternity leave agreements, certificates of service and acknowledgements of debts (advances).
  • Advise line managers on contract expiries a month in advance and ensure followup.
  • Generate, collate and compile monthly reports relating to leave, new appointments, terminations, disabilities, disciplinary matters and other.
  • Administer time and attendance: Timesheets
  • Assist with any other HR projects as assigned
  • Submit all new starter packs, terminations, payroll changes, timesheets, travel claims and any other related inputs to payroll for processing monthly
  • Perform dummy payslips and other payroll checks
  • Ensure that HR invoices are paid within 30 days
  • Guide and support management on HR activities (policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, grievances/disciplinaries, training, performance management etc.).
  • Ensure awareness and implementation of all legislative and compliance issues relating to HR i.e. BCEA, LRA, SDA, EEA, OHASA etc.
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations and provide advice that will ensure objectivity and fairness in all disciplinary actions taken.
  • Provide advice and support to staff and line managers for the successful implementation of the performance management system.
  • Record and analyse completed performance reviews/appraisals and ensure it is filed accordingly
  • Support asset retrieval by ensuring that all properties of the THINK are retrieved from exiting employees such as laptops, access cards etc.
  • Taking minutes, preparing the agenda, register and submitting the minutes of Staff meetings and other HR related meetings.
