Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Rawsonville. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organized, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of food items such as vegetables, fruits, and meats
- Wash and clean kitchen equipment and utensils
- Help with food service and presentation
- Assist in maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and informing the chef when supplies need to be restocked
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of food to customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must always show up for work and be reliable
- Must be able to work every weekend
- Must have sober habits
- Must be physically able to lift heavy kitchen equipment and stand for extended periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Salary:
R25.42 per hour
