Primary Responsibilities:

Focus Area 1: Maintenance
- Provide specialist support to the shiftbased teams during operations
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
- Accountable for equipment reliability and ownership of the entire maintenance process; provide guidance and oversee troubleshooting of equipment issues
- Perform Electrical, Electrical Controls, Instrumentation and Instrumentation Control duties and some mechanical duties such as setup, adjustment, calibrate, tune, and troubleshoot, Preventative Maintenance inspections and Overhaul
- Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
- Establish and maintain an effective spare parts inventory
- Work with Management Team to contribute to longterm strategic planning
- Troubleshoot & maintain PLCs and variable speed drive controlled equipment
- Continuously support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment
Focus Area 2:
Procedure and Protocol Management
- Develop, refine and document maintenance procedures
- Enforce protocol and good FMCG practices within the brewery
- Foster and promote continuous improvement and root cause analysis processes
Focus Area 3:
Safety Management
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Support Safety Initiatives
- Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions
Requirements of the Role:
- Tertiary education, degree or diploma, Electrical engineering.
- Passed the relevant Trade Test
- Valid unendorsed drivers licence
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience, preferably in the brewing, beverage or FMCG industry is required
- Experience/Certification with reliability centred maintenance preferred, (e.g. Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP))
- Familiar with electrical systems such as controls, automation, VFDs, PLCs is essential
- Familiar with mechanical systems such as welding, part fabrication, fluid transfer, pneumatics and plumbing is highly desired
- Practical experience with highspeed bottling/packaging operations in food/beverage industries will be highly advantageous
- Good knowledge of the safety requirements
- Willing to work afterhours or on weekends as per the production demands.

- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Good communication and interaction skills with people on all levels in the organization.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
