    Description

    Job Summary

    This role requires a highly skilled professional to support the implementation and execution of the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 standards. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements, manage environmental risks, and conduct investigations and training.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Implement and execute the Environmental Management System within designated business areas.
    • Ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements through effective risk management and implementation of compliance measures.
    • Manage the process for obtaining environmental approvals and permits.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor various Environmental Management Systems (Waste, Water, Fire, Hazardous Substances, Flora & Fauna, Rehabilitation, Pollution Prevention, Sanitation, NCR, etc.).
    • Conduct environmental investigations (incident management, internal & external auditing).
    • Provide training and awareness on key occupational safety and health issues.

    Desired Qualifications & Experience

    A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in environmental management, or equivalent, is required. Relevant qualifications include a National Diploma, B Tech, or BSc in environmental management.
