    Description

    Funeral Policy Administrator (Senior)

    Discovery Life seeks an exceptional individual to administer funeral policies and leverage our outsource business partner relationship to deliver excellent service to clients.

    This role requires building working relationships with stakeholders in the Discovery Distribution environment and other role-players to meet client expectations and internal control objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Monitor the performance of the outsource business partner and collaborate with them to achieve business objectives and service excellence.
    2. Build successful relationships with office managers in distribution (DCS/ DFC/ DCDS) and office administrators in the DFA Funeral distribution channel to extend the reach of administration.
    3. Build successful relationships with office administrators and sales managers on the Mass Market distribution channel.
    4. Implement, manage and account for service delivery functions that lie within Discovery Life.
    5. Document business processes and project plans.
    6. Provide and facilitate training and support to stakeholders.
    7. Coach team members to ensure their continuous development.
    8. Resolve escalated issues timeously and ensure corrective steps are taken to prevent further recurrence. Continuously improve business processes.

    Requirements:

    Experience

    1. Completed Matric (Grade 12)
    2. 2-3 years associate specialist or team leader experience
    3. Certificate in Financial Planning - advantageous
    4. Tertiary qualification (degree/ diploma) - advantageous
