    Theatre Trained and Experienced Registered Nurses Sought

    We are seeking highly skilled theatre trained and experienced registered nurses to join our team at a Private hospital group in Johannesburg.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the surgical team in performing successful surgical procedures on patients.
    • Maintain accurate records by effectively managing clocking time.
    • Perform all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors, ensuring seamless operation of the theatre.
    • Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
    • Take ownership of Theatre and cases allocated on a daily basis.
    • Implement effective risk prevention and management strategies.
    • Attend shift commencement handover reports, staying informed about patient care and progress.
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, addressing concerns and needs.
    • Refer patient complaints and doctor feedback to the sister-in-charge or CNS for prompt resolution.
    • Maintain competence in theatre processes through continuous education and training.
    • Serve as a mentor and supervisor for junior healthcare providers and support staff, fostering a learning environment.

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • Possess a Grade 12 or NQF level 4 qualification.
    • Hold registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
    • A post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre is highly desirable.
    • Have a minimum of 2 years of general theatre experience, with a strong understanding of health practice standards.
    • Show capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required by accredited bodies and relevant health legislation (SANC).
