    Bookkeeping Support Consultant Role

    This role is within the Ghost Practice team at Dye Durham Corporation.

    Description

    We design our software to relieve administrative burdens, enabling staff to focus on core tasks. Our integrated solution includes matter management, financial administration, and document management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver service and support via remote connection or internet for end-users using automated call distribution phone software.
    • Attend to bookkeeping related client tickets and answer telephone calls.
    • Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
    • Determine issues by evaluating symptoms and gather customer information.
    • Complete ad hoc bookkeeping assignments such as financial catch ups, clean ups, partnership splits, and trust reconciliations.
    • Research required information using available resources.
    • Identify and escalate priority issues following standard procedures.
    • Offer alternative solutions to retain customers' business.
    • Follow up with scheduled call-backs to customers and stay current with system information.
    • Maintain good relationships with clients according to their Service Level Agreement (SLA).
    • Update internal CRM system with time and notes.

    Requirements

    • 2–3 years experience in accounting support environment with basic bookkeeping knowledge.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
    • Proper phone etiquette and listening skills.
    • Organisation and multitasking capabilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Understanding of computer operating systems, internet, and hardware.
    • Willingness to cooperate with others and work towards common goals.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Eligibility to work in South Africa or hold valid work permit.

    Nice to Have

    • Legal trust accounting experience.
    • Financial tertiary qualifications.
    • Legal experience.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
