    Location: UPD Cape Town (Montague Gardens Distribution Centre)

    Job Purpose:

    To ensure timely and efficient replenishment of pharmaceutical products, meeting customer demand while minimizing inventory costs and maximizing service levels.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Inventory Management:
      • Utilize inventory management software to monitor levels and forecast demand for products.
      • Analyze sales data, historical trends, and market conditions to ensure accurate forecasts.
      • Determine optimal inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory.
    2. Order Processing:
      • Generate purchase orders and replenishment requests based on demand forecasts and inventory policies.
      • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
      • Monitor order status and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
    3. Supplier Relationship Management:
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize service levels.
      • Collaborate with suppliers to address supply chain challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
    4. Performance Monitoring:
      • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate, inventory turnover, and stockout rate to assess replenishment performance.
      • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize inventory management processes and enhance supply chain efficiency.
    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Work closely with buying, operations, and logistics teams to align replenishment plans with sales forecasts, promotional activities, and distribution requirements.
      • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on inventory strategies and priorities.
