    Deputy Director: Enterprise Risk Management Position

    The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the National Treasury, facilitating enterprise-wide risk assessments and developing reports for presentation in governance committees.

    Salary Range:

    R1 200 000 - R2 100 000 per annum

    Key Responsibilities

    Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments

    • Conducts risk identification, analysis, and evaluation with strategic partners and business units within the National Treasury;
    • Coordinates business continuity activities with external stakeholders and business units within the National Treasury;
    • Administers Anti-corruption activities within National Treasury;
    • Engages stakeholders within business units to integrate ERM processes within the National Treasury;
    • Develops ERM reports for presentation in governance committees.

    Risk Education, Training, and Benchmarks

    • Initiates awareness sessions on risks and provides training to educate internal clients on ERM principles;
    • Conducts workshops on risk mitigation processes for implementation within National Treasury;
    • Conducts research and benchmarks on best practices with recognized institutions pertaining to risk assessment methodologies.

    Establish and Maintain Risk Capabilities

    • Analyses NT's strategic objectives and compares against risks factors;
    • Analyses NT's audit findings and implements action plans for execution and mitigation;
    • Analyses the loss control register and makes recommendations on the improvement of risk management capabilities.

    Risk Mitigation Plans for National Treasury

    • Enhances action plans for the identification and alignment of risks;
    • Monitors the status of risk mitigation action plans for improvement;
    • Provides reports on the negative and positive impact of envisaged mitigation plans for implementation.
