Our client is a global engineering company offering equipment, tools and technical solutions to mining industry, who have a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager.

This role is responsible for managing and continuously improving the Warehouse operations of the distribution Hub for Africa. There will be a strong focus on managing and developing the initiatives for the Logistics Services operation.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the success of the warehouse and distribution function while developing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to all procedures
Implementation of new Warehouse and Transport Management Systems into the Hub during 2024.
Accountable for EHS performance and employee performance management,
Increased customer share and satisfaction,
Supplier relations and management
Financial Management i.e. business planning, budgeting and volume forecasting, CCC and net working capital development
Optimize/improve the operational efficiency and performance in the Regional Hub/ Satellite
Implement continuous improvement methods regularly within the Warehouse and related environment
Ensure warehouse processes are maintained and managed to limit financial risks, including POD handling, goods return, credit, receiving & dispatch processes
Manage the infrastructure integrity and planning
Continuously improve and manage the controls to limit shrinkage risk

Requirements:
Qualification and Skill

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Warehousing/Distributions/Supply Chain Management preferably in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team and will have a minimum of 5+ years in a Leadership/Management roles as well as managing budgets and meeting operational KPI's
Demonstrated success in managing a significant change management process and has the ability to successfully guide and support the business and Warehouse workforce through a WMS or ERP implementation
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using warehouse management software and other relevant tools.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Valid drivers license
