Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Front Office Manager to join our client's team at an established company in the hospitality industry.

Assistant Front Office Manager will be responsible for the management, operation and the staffing of the following functions:
Reception, Telephones / Switch board, Porterage and Transportation / Concierge.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure activities and performance that lead to high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Being fully familiarised with all lodge and company policies, as well as lodge programmes offered such as loyalty programmes, audit and service measurement programmes and merit awards
  • Participating in company and lodge induction and refresher programmes
  • Demonstrating exceptional level of professionalism, maturity, and emotional intelligence always
  • Ensuring that all reports associated with the department are accurate and produced on time
  • Supplying relevant information to other departments to assists them in planning and running their departments
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with lodge guests
  • Constantly assessing the training requirements of the functions as managed and implements regular training programmes
  • Forms part of the Duty Managers team and, as such, will be available to answer guest queries and complaints, ensuring the operating standards of the Lodge are achieved and be responsible for Lodge security during the Duty manager period
  • Responsible for keeping records and filing systems within the Front Office department
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation and correspondence is received from reservations daily
  • Performing additional duties, which may be required or as requested by the General Manager
  • Attending regular meetings with other management members as defined by the General Manager to facilitate the smooth running of the department and the rest of the Lodge
  • Accountable for all Policies regarding all departmental matters being adhered to
  • Acting on the results of the above audits to achieve set targets
  • Ensuring that all laws, regulations, licenses, and policies pertaining to the operation of the department are adhered to
  • Accountable for implementation, adherence and management of all applicable guest satisfaction mechanisms focusing on ongoing service and product improvement resulting in guest loyalty

Requirements:


  • Grade 1 3 years' experience, preferably in hospitality as Assistant Front Office Manager
  • Fluent In English
  • Knowledge of Apex Systems
