Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager for their paint coatings division. The position is based in Gauteng and reports to the Technical Director.


Requirements:


  • Proven technical experience and indepth knowledge of the Plastics Paint Coatings market
  • Proven sales experience from the coatings and consumables sector
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • A network of contacts and decisionmakers at paint coatings companies
  • Proven experience in demonstrating the USPs of paint coatings and abrasives that successfully lead to sales
  • Proven experience in managing pricing and margins
  • Honed presentation skills with the ability to deliver professional presentations to a varied audience
  • Buckets of commercial awareness, industry and uptodate process and product knowledge
  • Commercial experience and skilled in delivering customer solutions that meet target metrics
  • Great IT skills; using customer databases, preferably with Phocas, Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Line management experience
  • A clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
