    Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer Needed
    Cape Town - Aerospace & Defence Industry
    LRFU design, development and testing.
    This individual will lead the design, development and testing of LRFUs. This role requires a strong technical background and experience in electronic circuit simulation (LTspice or other equivalent software) and design (Altium) leading the LRFU development process from preliminary design through to production.

    Key Functions:

    1. Design, simulate and complete PCB design and routing of Line Replaceable Units (LRFUs) according to specifications provided by systems engineer.
    2. Follow the defined electronic hardware design processes and document design according to hardware design plan.
    3. Participate in peer reviews of LRFUs.
    4. Lead and mentor junior engineers providing technical guidance and support.
    5. Collaborate with software mechanical DSP RF and aeronautical teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware LRFUs.
    6. Test and validate hardware designs ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations experience with DO-160 and MIL-STD-704 will be highly beneficial.
    7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware design and performance.
    8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic hardware technologies and apply them to projects.

    Other Requirements:

    1. At least 10 Years experience in Electronic Hardware Design Testing.
    2. Engineering Degree in Electronics or equivalent minimum NQF L7.
    3. Specific experience with ECU LRULRU LRC LRI design and testing in the Aerospace Defence industry will be highly beneficial.
    4. Proficiency with Altium.
    5. Proficiency with LTspice or other circuit simulation/analysis software.
    6. Driver's license and own vehicle.
    7. Possess a passion for leading edge technologies preferably for aerospace aviation.
    8. Preferably already reside in the Cape Town region or be willing to relocate at own cost.
    9. RSA Citizen.
    10. No criminal record.
