  • Purpose of Role:
  • The role of the Mechanical design Draughtsman is to produce equipment outline drawings, layouts for end customer, product full equipment detailed drawings, layouts and procedures to enable manufacturing and interpret customer requirements and technical specifications
  • Key Job Outputs:
  • Create drawings and models in 3D (Inventor) across the company's product range
  • Work to set schedules for completion of models and drawings
  • Complete final design of equipment and issue to customer with mechanical drawings for approval, along with component / assembly / manufacturing drawings
  • Product manufacturing instructions and all drawings for procurement of contract specific equipment
  • Keep contract/job files up to date with any drawing changes and issue these to manufacturing/customer
  • Liaise with other company internal departments sales, engineering, purchasing, production, and quality to ensure accuracy and delivery of project to specification
  • Assist sales in technical questions/request for drawings and mechanical detail
    Inherent Requirements
  • Matric with National Diploma in Draughting or Engineering 25 years draughting experience
  • AutoCAD experience ESSENTIAL
  • Inventor 3D experience advantageous
  • Previous experience in similar industry advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office
