    Job Title: Cloud Solutions Design and Implementation Specialist

    Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking, South Africa

    We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Design and Implementation Specialist to support and contribute to the design and implementation of cloud solutions across multiple service teams within Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.

    About the Role

    This role involves working on a small number of products or work streams related to cloud solutions, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions, and utilizing systems and configuration management tools such as Chef and Terraform.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement cloud solutions using production systems and technologies like load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, microservices, and configuration management.
    • Develop and execute small-scale systems automation projects with strong autonomy.
    • Familiarity with software engineering best practices including testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
    • Experience with monitoring and metrics collection tools such as AppDynamics, Prometheus, Nagios, and Graphite.

    Requirements

    1. First Degree in Information Technology or related field.
    2. 1-2 years of experience in systems and configuration management tools, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes, test automation, and programming languages (C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Go, Shell, or Perl scripting).
    3. 3-4 years of experience in designing and executing small-scale systems automation projects, software engineering best practices, and monitoring/metrics collection tools.
